Good video, though slightly skewed. First of all “lashing out” gives a negative skew. Also the question at the end, I feel that the woman could have answered it better. Also the title of “The atheist next door”, makes atheists seem like the dark shady neighbors that you never speak to.
The media expects all atheists to think alike, but this is not the case. Because we are freethinkers not bout by something telling us what to do or think there are many different views on issues such as morals and how to help your fellow man. The media tries to treat atheism like a religion, when it is far from.

“Atheist next door”?
Isn’t “terrorist next door” also a common phrase to describe a threat that is unexpectedly close to home?
What if the title had been “the Jews next door” or “the black people next door”? Would that be tolerated the same way?

Good video though I agree that the story was skewed. It made us (atheists) sound like we have to try extra hard to be normal people.
One particular part interested me. One of the rationalist student groups was located in Illinois. I thought Rep. Monique Davis said Illinois was the land of Lincoln where people believed in God. I guess she was mistaken.

Yes, it did make atheists seem like a minority or that it’s sociably unacceptable to be an atheist.
Though I think Don’s comment goes a little overboard.
