Big Bang Day

In less than 2 hours (08:30 BST), the LHC will be turned on. Protons will be hurtled round the 27km circuit in opposite directions at 99.99999% the speed of light. They will attempt to smash them together and recreate the environment of the universe, a billionth of second after the Big Bang. The main purpose of the experiment is to find the elusive Higgs Boson, which would solve the problems we currently have in the standard model of particle physics.

Of course, everyone knows that the real purpose is to create a Black Hole and end the universe. BBC Radio 4 is having a day of programmes aimed at explaining the LHC, as well as the situation live from the control room at CERN.

Should be either an interesting day…or a final one.

I think today was the first time they fire the beam around a complete ring, without any collisions. The collision phase comes later.

The BBC interviewed some of the head scientists earlier today. They said they were so impressed with the progress (it’s already gone round most of the way) that they *might* move onto collisions :)

As Bill said, the collisions don’t happen quite yet ( I believe they start in October sometime). What we have right now is a hyperspeed particle merry-go-round.

Well I have no idea what the guy in charge was going on about on the radio. He quite clearly said that if everything went well today they would try some collisions later.

I’ve been looking forward to this day for years. Now we can finally start testing some of the vanguard theories like M-Theory and Brane Cosmology. It’s a shame the United States lacks the will to build something like this.

Ladies and Gents,

If you want to know what will happen with the beam here is the answer.

On the 21st of October if they (CERN) don’t claim that the result were catastrophic for “unknown” reasons, then they will claim that they will analyze the data collected within a “long” period.

Either answer will cancel their plans. What we need is an organic free life without brain control, and not any BING BANG theory! People starve and die every day and our governments have OTHER PLANS!

I was checking their blog http://lhcdiario.wordpress.com/ and according to the screenshoots, they use Linux. Hell yeah, that way we wont be afraid of a BSOD or reboot which destroys humanity jejeje.

The BING BANG theory is pre-dated by a proposal in the ’60s by the reknowned scientist Marie Lawrie, presented to a plenary forum of European nations in 1969. As I said earlier (10th sep 08) here is the result. A month before they even managed to do anything the cooling system has a LEAK! The experiment has already been canceled for at least two months until they investigate what went wrong!! haha!

11 days ago, I did say that it will not happen for unknown technical reasons. CERN announced that there is a problem with a large helium leakage in the cooling system of the accelerator and will be shut for two months, until investigation is complete. So far there is a disappointment between the CERN members as it seems that it will be extended for next year.

However, this might be the plan, while the reason of the project, is OTHER!

This was never meant to be a quick job. They didn’t built the machine just for one experiment, so I don’t see what your problem is with it. The LHC, when fully operational, will serve CERN for the next few decades, possibly more. Their current particle accelerator has been in operation for 40 years already!

Still, I am prepared to wait for the results. Hopefully we might get a nice Christmas present of a Higgs Boson.

CERN is not a word that is made of initials as everybody thinks. CERN comes from the ancient greek word ‘cernos’ and the experiment has been mentioned before in ancient scripts as the plan of Samael (Devil) to destroy humanity. It specifically refers to the ring cernos.

This experiment is not meant to prove how evolution started. If you think about it, there are lot of money involved. Coming back to 60s as you said, calculate how much effort is put on this experiment and also, have a look on the net to found why this location and not any other place?

They never won the bid. They were just given the green light to start it.

Finally, I want ot say one thing: Whether I am wrong or wright time will show this! I never say if I don’t know. The CERN will never help humanity!

Regarding the big damage on the reactor, because all the press releases are fake, here is what happend.

Polemarhos, cut the machine in every main electric control system along the ring. If you want to found what happend, you ask, you do not try to guess.

This is not a joke; the information I receive are exclusive and very loyal. Also, this failure was offcourse pre-planned. Otherwise, how would I know before it happend?

Guys, open your eyes and stop beleive all the MEDIA. Media exists for a reason as well.

It wasn’t Polemarhos who sabotaged the LHC, it was a Polemarchos, a war lord sent by Samael to prevent humankind revealing the dark secrets of the E8 super symetric multi-dimensional nature of the universe.

No, it originally stood for “Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire”. They moved onto more complicated research but a name change wasn’t necessary.

Well done! You are indeed correct. This experiment has nothing to do with Evolution; they are trying to find the Higg’s Boson!

You didn’t know before it happened. You said CERN would either claim the data was catastrophic, or it would have to analyze the data for a very long time. Neither of these things happened. No data was collected. The machine had a leak!

In my case, my Mom was seeking procreation, and my father self gratification.

Please remember, when a body is created there is a soul created as well. In our lives we only consider the minor element very seriously, which is our body and is under a degradation process since is created. That means that we start corrode since we are enbrio.

On the other hand the other element has all the fundamental properties of life existence. Considering our souls when we make decissions and take actions in our lives is the way forward to understand the fundamental principles of human existence.

That you think your existence has a predefined purpose indicates something about your thought process. It indicates that you’re not thinking but feeling/hoping/wishing or are just deluded.

Your existence is the result of a process not a the result of a reason/purpose. You exist because a sperm combined with an egg to form an embryo which eventually developed into you.

A) You forget that an atheist would not believe in the existance of a soul.

If you don’t believe in a soul, you probably don’t believe in life after death, or any of those religious constructs, or re-incarnation.

Therefore you assertation that the soul is fundamental to life decisions and purpose, is false to me. My mind within my brain makes my decisions, and once my body dies, my mind dies with it.

Is it true that I will live forever even if I don’t believe in a God? In which case I get the best of both worlds, if God does exist, I’ll apologise and eat humble pie, if not, no one will be any the wiser.

Adrian: Sure, the process is sperm+egg, but that isn’t a reason, it’s a biological process. Makis was looking for a reason, I think he gets the spermy eggy thing.

I’m betting Makis believes the reason a person exists is god’s will or some other spiritual argument, rather than something simplistic in the real world.

We could have a side argument on whether in fact any of us really exists, or whether we just perceive ourselves to exist as indicated by our sensory inputs, which could in fact by artificial and synthesised.
