50 Reasons People Give For Believing In A God By Guy P. Harrison

The book for October’s book club is “50 reasons people give for believing in a god” by Guy P. Harrison. It is available from Amazon and hopefully I will be able to contact the author and invite him into a live discussion like we did with Hemant Mehta.

For this month, the book is “Biblical Nonsense” and we are abandoning the live discussion due to lack of interest. At the end of the month, a forum discussion will be put up where people can post their views. I hope one day to bring back the live discussion, but I think we need more dedicated members for that.

For now, the live discussion will be reserved for books in which I can contact the author.

UPDATE: Guy P. Harrison says he would love to do a live discussion of his book. We will confirm a date nearer the time.

    Whats the difference between Biblical nonsense and Atheist babble? People usually turn strongly to God when there is much suffering. That is how people learn to become obedient and children also. When life is too easy people forget to be grateful for their life. The laws of God were written in our in-ward parts.

    Guy P. Harrison is a Facebook friend of mine. If you can’t figure out how to contact him any other way, I could be a middle-man (if you trust me). Or you could always get a Facebook account if you don’t have one.

    @Mark

    Cheers, but I’ve been in contact with him in the past (he actually contacted me first). He has confirmed that he would be delighted to do a live discussion with us.

    Ok, great. It’s just that this part…

    “hopefully I will be able to contact the author”

    … made me think you may not possess his contact information.

    Hope it goes well!

    I had been searching for God for a long time. I used to visit temples, churches, and all sorts of religious places. Then finally, in 2002, I walked into a centre of Brahmakumaris at Lodhi Road, New Delhi, India. I attended a seven day meditation course. Since that day, I have found such happiness and bliss in my life. It’s not just happiness. It is also having God as my friend. I can feel him with me all day. Not only do I feel him, I can see him with open eyes. I know it may sound hard to believe, but it is actually happening. He even talks to me. I came to know that he is the supreme soul and he has never taken birth in any form, but he has sent his messengers on earth for eg. Jesus Christ, Allah, Krishna etc. He says that whoever takes a human form is bound to decline, but he never declines as he does not take birth. If anybody wants to know anything more, they can contact me on lal.juhie@gmail.com.
