I obviously didn't have all the comments cached, and the ones I have cached currently are a multitude of people simply pointing out facts and asking more questions, or expressing general disbelief in her claims. Since she deleted the article (and the comments) I have no idea what else was said, but I agree with you that we shouldn't start being insulting, but rather try to encourage rational thought. It's welcome. But the tone of it was my concern. There's a difference between, "I believe you're wrong when it comes to X, Y, and Z because..." and "You're a freakin' moron because..." There’s a difference between, “I believe you’re wrong when it comes to X, Y, and Z because…” and “You’re a freakin’ moron because…” I thought there was a shift to the latter and that’s not a dialogue that’s going to be very productive. That’s understandable, right?!
