The Atheist Blogger

I have a lot of Christian blogs on my feed, but I’d have to say my favourite two are Things Christians Like (which you mentioned) and Jesus goes to Disney World. The latter is written by a priest and originated by his attempt to connect biblical stories to popular culture. I disagree with him on a lot (mainly his pro-life stance) but it’s still a good read.

I don’t keep any Christian blogs on my feed reader but I do peruse a few blogs of Christians who post on my own blog, and those who are on Wordpress and have tagged posts with atheism. Honestly, that’s what I usually do, just wait for some Christian to post something ridiculous with a secular tag and then I’ll sweep in and try to help set them straight. Seems to be the norm on Wordpress blogs.

Shame I can’t find that post, otherwise I would have pointed out to that oh so smart atheist that light is the only thing which is visible. You think you can see that chair standing in the corner? Wrong. The only thing you can see is the light it is reflecting. That is what the sensors at the back of your eye are reacting to; not the chair.

Sometimes it’s hard to decide which is the more important rule; not to make fun of the mentally handicapped, or to tell the truth.

There is no God but Allah, Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the One, without any partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger.

Islam is to testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, to perform the prayers (salath), to pay the charity (zakat), to fast in Ramadhan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so

Islam teaches us that this life is a life of worship. We are placed on this earth in order to worship Allah and obey His command. During this earthly life we are subjected to a series of trials. We have the option of enduring these trials and conforming to certain laws, and our reward will be great in the next life, or we may decline to endure these trials and choose to not conform to the law, then we will be made to regret it in the next life.

Each person will be solely and completely responsible for their own final reward. Allah has guided us to make this life a better, safer, and more tolerable one for us. If we elect to conform to them then we will see the result in this life even before moving on to the next.

So do believe in Allah, do believe in His angels, do believe in His Books (Scriptures), do believe in His Messengers, do believe in the Day of Judgment and do believe in the Divine Decree (Divine fate) whether good or evil

Allah created us, and we know that we should only worship Him. This is an instinct Allah has created us with. He did not just leave us, rather He sent prophets for us. These prophets had miracles as proof. The miracle for us today is the Quran. There is no other religion that worships only Allah, and believes in Him as totally perfect, and believes in all of His prophets, and scriptures

Interesting stuff, youve made me think today

I've not only read a couple of those blogs, Uncommon Descent and “Atheist Central” by Ray Comfort, I've been sneakily "banned" from posting comments on them. If I try to post, nothing ever shows.

I don't like this blog. In my opinion, it's all wrong. So my first and last post. Pushing on to something substantive without the delusion and arrogance of atheism.
