As a university student I spent the first two years believing in Judaism. In the fifth semester I heard something about Islam (it didn't really attract me) and Cafeteria Christianity (I found it a little bit more interesting). Fortunately the last three semesters I learned about Buddhism and Taoism and found enlightenment (I'm still a fanatic believer of them). Later on I moved on to Fundamentalist Christianity and Voodoo. Now I still believe in all the forms of Christianity and Voodoo for practical reasons but deep inside I remain a true believer of Buddhism and Taoism. God save us from Mormonism and Satanism… :-)

Excellent. I was first indoctrinated into Islam. Since then, I have dabbled in many other programming faiths. Spent 3 1/2 years as a Jew doing a little bit of voodoo on the side, but today I am a Cafeteria Christian.

Oh…. When Aegisub compared PHP with Cafeteria Christianity, it reminded me of the modern Methodist movement in America. PHP is programming a la carte. Modern Methodist is Christianity a la carte. It's a striking analogy.

haha, as a 4th year Software Development student, I can definitely agree with most of those items!! sucks that I spent 3 years learning all about Islam and now I'm neck-deep in Mormonism, but oh well!?! What can ya do!!
