YouTube Creationist Murders Student
For those familiar with the atheist/Christian & evolution/creation debates on YouTube, you will have probably come across the user Tony48219, real name Anthony Powell. He ranted about Evolution and atheism, using repeatedly debunked arguments, and was a fanboy of VenomFangX. Anthony Powell shot and killed fellow student and YouTuber Asia McGowan last Friday, before turning the shotgun on himself.
In a recent video, Tony48219 (YouTube account now suspended) had told viewers he had no reason to live, and that he would kill himself with a shotgun. His parents said he had had problems with depression, but didn’t like taking his medicine.
This is a very sad event for both families, and my thoughts go out to everyone involved. Anthony Powell was evidently a very disturbed individual, and people didn’t realise it until it was too late. I’m not sure whether we will ever know what drove him to kill himself, or why he had to shoot Asia as well, but hopefully this event will resonate amongst people on YouTube.

wow, so sad…im very sorry to hear about this…i remember seeing him ranting a few times on the "Why do people laugh at Creationists" series defending VenomFangX….not the best company in the world to keep…
wonder if he realized that maybe those arguments were all bunk before he did it?
either way, it's sad to see this happen…makes me wonder if some Christian or a Muslim may try to kill me…every time someone checks my domain registration it makes me just a little more nervous.
