But in stand-up the man is a god. Nobody can do it quite like him - endlessly delightful, silly, charming and oddly didactic. He gives the sort of performance that make you actually feel grateful to be present. I don't know how many film roles he'll get that really allow him to shine in straight acting, but I do hope he never abandons his comedy gigs.
