		<description>Eddie Izzard has shown - in his better roles like Joe Egg - that he&#039;s an accomplished actor. 
 
But in stand-up the man is a god. Nobody can do it quite like him - endlessly delightful, silly, charming and oddly didactic. He gives the sort of performance that make you actually feel grateful to be present. 
 
I don&#039;t know how many film roles he&#039;ll get that really allow him to shine in straight acting, but I do hope he never abandons his comedy gigs. </description>
