What’s Wrong With Scientology?

Scientology

My friend Bef Milne is a long time protester of Scientology (as well as other cults and religions), and has written a great article where he attempts to answer a question that is often presented to him at anti-Scientology events (presumably by ignorant members of the public): “What’s wrong with Scientology?”

To answer this seemingly simple question, you have to explore the history of the cult, including the writings of the cult founder, L. Ron Hubbard. Bef’s article is both highly informative, whilst at the same time revealing the sickening truth behind Scientology’s past.

If you have a reddit account and want to help spread this article around, please vote it up the atheism sub-reddit by clicking here. Please help spread it around through other means too though!

What's not wrong with Scientology would be the shorter article.

Find it interesting as I live 2 miles from Saint Hill Manor where Hubbard wrote his guff. Some think he was inspired by the Satanist, "The Great Beast" , Aleister Crowley. Do a Google on the two names.

PS Had to switch to Firefox to comment as your site is throwing up loads of script errors in IE8. I expect god has cursed it again.

Ok, I'm convinced. Not that I was considering Scientology before, but now I know enough to be firmly against it. Good article, thanks for posting.

In the UK scientology has so little credibility that people don't even bother protesting it. Shame it's not the same for islam.

It's just amazing how Scientology seems to slowly be spreading. Maybe I'm just biased because what I witnessed recently. At Rivergate Mall in Madison, TN they have a booth up where they try to sell book 'Diagnetics' by L Ron Hubbard. They don't post anywhere they are Scientologists but definitely jam it down your throat that the book works and will change your life. Then they give you pamphlets on seminars. I know this because I went up and acted naively interested. I'm disgusted they are in that mall.
