Comments Policy

By posting a comment on this blog you agree that you have read and understood the following comments policy.

  1. Any author of this blog may at any time, and for any reason edit or delete a comment if they deem it inappropriate.
  2. Although discussions often open up new topics, please try to keep the discussion on the subject of the blog post / article. If you wish to discuss further topics, please use these forums.
  3. Only refer to people by their given name, which can be found above their comment or at the top of the article if the person in question is the author.
  4. Please use real email addresses on the comments form. We hate spam as much as everyone else, and will never give your email out to any third parties. However, your email is our only means of contacting you if we need to. We may contact you to ask permission for your comment to be used somewhere, or we may have to warn you about a violation of this policy (hopefully not the latter).
  5. Strictly no verbal abuse, threats, racism, sexism, homophobia, or anything considered morally wrong by our modern society. *NOTE* – Religious texts are not considered examples of modern morality, so trying to use them to justify an abusive statement violates this rule.

Any attempt to break one of these rules may be met with a simple deletion of the offending comment, a warning, or a permanent ban.

I really love freedom of speech, and I am not trying to act as a dictator, but as the owner of this blog I must protect our contributors and commentators from disrespect and abuse, regardless of their personal beliefs.
