The latest Carnival of the Godless is up at Radical Atheist, so go check it out! It’s a great carnival, and has two great reviews of the new book “The evolution of God” which were very informative.
Remember to submit something to the next carnival, or put your own blog forward for the prestigious job of hosting the carnival!
As a side note, I’ve been meaning to update this blog a lot more often, but every time I’ve sat down to write a post, something else has barged in the way, whether it be important emails I have to answer, work that has to be done, or (most recently) a breach of my PayPal account which almost cost me $300 I don’t have. Nevertheless, I’m finally emerging from the flow of “more-important-than-blogging” things, and there will be a few articles up this week on my adventures in Egypt, and my delving into Astrology!
Given that Twitter is a far better (and quicker) way of getting my thoughts out, if you miss me you can always follow my thoughts there. My account is @ah8r.
The 96th Carnival of the Godless is over at Sean the Blogonaut. He has introduced a new “Top 5 Must Reads” for people with very little time which is a great idea. Although I didn’t make it into that group, my post about Christianity and Sexuality did make it in to the rest.
Book of Revelation 13:18
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Which is why I find this screenshot I took of the forums quite amusing:

Earthman’s Notebook is hosting the 94th Carnival of the Godless and it is jam-packed full of interesting articles. It proves that the carnival is still popular for content, but not so much for hosts.
After a plea for more hosting blogs to come forward, a few emerged (including myself in two weeks time!), but yet again the Carnival is facing extinction. After this blog hosts the carnival it will be over at Letters from a broad, but unless anyone else steps up it will stop before it reaches issue 100.
The current Carnival of the Godless had 40 articles in it, and I suspect many more were sent and rejected for various reasons. It is sad to see such great enthusiasm to get your work seen and yet hardly any to help the work of others. The atheist blogging community stands at at least 708 by The Atheist Blogroll’s count, so I urge any new bloggers to accept the challenge and put your blog up as a host. Even if you have hosted the carnival once before, I’m sure nobody will mind!
The Carnival of the Godless is a great way to read new blogs, share opinions, and get your site noticed in the blogging community. There is literally no reason you shouldn’t do it.

No More Mr. Nice Guy has posted the 90th Carnival of the Godless over at his blog, and it’s well worth a look. This is the second time I’ve submitted something to the carnival, and I’m pleased to report that my article proposing an online atheist book club got through.
Speaking of which, we’re still working on the chatroom, and people can still post suggestions in the forums. Voting will be on May 1st.
On a further unrelated note, I won’t be posting as much for the next 3 weeks as I have revision followed by exams. I’ll still write the odd article, and if people want to sent stuff in (even short stuff) I’ll gladly post it for them. Wish me luck :D
