Would You Like To Know The Truth?
“Would You Like to Know the Truth?” is the title of a Jehovah’s Witness leaflet that was given to me the other day. I was in a hurry to my friends house, and a guy stopped me and told me that “there are some questions that people have tried to answer over the years but never got a good response to. This leaflet explains some of them”.
I took one look at the document in my hand and saw the word “God” mentioned a couple of times. Together with the picture of the sunset, I knew I was dealing with a religious guy. My mind worked through several scenarios; I could stay and talk to the man, telling him I don’t believe, and be late for my friends, or I could go be sociable. I chose the latter (mainly because of the aforementioned rush I was in), thanked the man, and went on my way.
Of course, I’m not going to let the questions in the document go unanswered…
Does God really care about us?
No, because there probably isn’t a God, and if there were, does it really look like it gives a shit?
Will war and suffering end?
No; humans are very social creatures, but we tend to subscribe to different types of society. Unfortunately, these societies do not like each other very much. Major suffering might end when we cure all major illnesses, but that doesn’t stop new illnesses, inflicted wounds, etc.
What happens to us when we die?
We rot in the ground, although I personally want my body donated to medical science and then the remains cremated and scattered somewhere (waste not people).
Is there any hope for the dead?
Is there any hope for other inanimate objects like spoons? No.
How can I pray and be heard by God?
Once you accept that you are talking to yourself, I’m certain you’ll be able to hear.
How can I find happiness in life?
Try new things, find out what makes you happy. Pursue it.
You might also notice none of my answers involve believing in a ridiculous doctrine made up by men thousands of years ago who thought the sun was magic. It’s a slight bonus.
I do hope the Jehovah’s Witnesses come round again; I’ll be able to give them my answers!

I got this same leaflet in Texas, USA recently. I have it on my desk as we speak. Coincidentally, I was going to scan it and email it to you for your amusement, but it appears I won’t have to.
I want to thank you #1 for taking the time out of ur day to speak with someone about their faith. I beg u the next time a JW comes to your door please ask question and also explain to them ur faith.
Your answers are common feelings because mainstream religion hasn’t answered the questions with truthful reasonable answers. The answers in the tract provide truthful answers based on the Bible, not the lies from man made doctrines which are taught by most religions. You might be surprised if you really considered the message that Jehovah’s Witnesses bring. Would you like to know the truth? Perhaps the needle in the haystack has come to you.

Consider the answer given to the second question: "Will War and Suffering Ever End? Yes, God will bring an end to all injustice and suffering." Not mentioned is the fact that in order to do this, Jehovah will wage one last war, in which he will kill any person who is not a baptized member of the congregation, in good standing, of course (w89 9/1 p. 19 par. 7). If it happened tomorrow, the death toll would be about 6 billion, including children and infants (rs p. 47-8). Is this news to you, Jehovah's Witnesses? Just ask your Circuit Overseer next time he's in town, he'll explain it directly. What he won't be able to tell you is how the killing of innocent children (which Jehovah has done in the past and plans to do again in the future) is NOT wicked, and how saying Jehovah never causes anything wicked to happen DOESN'T cause him to disappear in a *poof* of logic.
This is a worldwide campaign Jehovah’s Witnesses are doing, we should have this leaflet in the hands of every household possible in over 235 countries and over 350 languages, well at least try.
Witnessess all over the world are pushing so hard to try to get to every door in the world to show them the truth. It holds some awsome truthful answers, if you actually read the pamphlet and read what the answers are, it could help you understand what really is up.
